An American, I have lived and worked abroad most of my adult life. I have lived in the USA, Kenya, Japan, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, and now the United Arab Emirates.
I’ve coached school directors looking for better ways to train their teachers. I’ve coached PhD students to overcome their writer’s block and complete their all-important dissertations. I’ve coached college and university department chairs to understand more deeply their relationships with others and how that contributes to their influence in setting and changing policy. I’ve collaborated with business start-ups unsure where to start, then unsure where to proceed. I’ve coached artists to reconnect with their work where they felt they’d lost direction, and with their collaborators with whom they felt a drifting apart. Most of all, I’ve assisted people to discover or rediscover the networks they thrive in, and watched them locate the best path forward.
Dr Larry coached me as I worked through some complex design issues for an online course. He was a good listener as he helped me determine what my goals were for the course, which included how to organize the course content so that students and adjunct faculty could navigate through it in the most effective manner. He was easy to reach and gave me feedback throughout the project.
Having weekly sessions with Dr Larry gave me a framework and focus that was outstandingly supportive. His questions were well-chosen and well timed. It was clear that he had a system, yet molded it to my individual needs and responded to my particular situation. His coaching steered me on my own path with a clearer vision and encouraged the steps to take to reach my goal. His passion to support others in their growth is palpable.
Dr Larry is great at coaching! He guided me to assessing my obligations and my decisions about how I wanted to spend my time to best achieve my career goals. I highly recommend working with Dr Larry.

Dr Larry's expertise and calm demeanor made the coaching process very enjoyable. I didn't know what to expect upon starting but he was very deliberate and on task without feeling robotic. I looked forward to our weekly meetings and would highly recommend Dr Larry.
Dr Larry is an excellent coach. He takes time to elaborate and engage easily, and always follows up and provides me with solutions that address my needs. I'm still continuing to use his services.
I feel like the process of finding a life coach is similar to writing a dating profile. The academy of life coaches may protest believing any life coach has the tools and skills to work with anyone. I say nay. All this to say I am very grateful to have found the exact right match for me. Thank you for being that coach.
It was great collaborating with Dr Larry. Working with him, I was able to identify areas of improvement and could quickly realize them!
I found my coaching with Dr Larry not only enjoyable but very informative and rewarding on a wide scale. He had a good knowledge of all subjects and knew how to apply his profession and personal advice well to what ever coaching road I chose that day. Dr Larry had a lot of personal qualities that I liked, which i think is very important in any coaching.
A friendly and highly approachable coach. I have gained many profound insights; be it my stressful PhD journey, my works and my life through his coaching sessions. Dr Larry was always available for me whenever I hit the wall or totally drained from my PhD writings. He is an intellectual and an amazing person with a sense of wit. He listens.
I was struggling with which direction to take my career. I was not getting as many opportunities as I expected and consequently I lost some confidence. Dr Larry helped me refocus by patiently listening and questioning and then set about getting me to do some exercises in self-reflection. Each week we would build on the foundation and I started to regain confidence. I am now in a much better place. I recommend Dr Larry for his steady, patient approach and his clear thought process. I was able to re-evaluate myself and gain better direction.
